As a Christian Church --
- We believe that God is a Trinity: one God in three distinct persons.
- We believe that all things exist because God created them and maintains them.
- We believe that God is ultimately in charge of all things on earth.
- We believe that Jesus Christ came to earth as a real human being to die for sinful humanity.
- We believe that Jesus is alive and will return someday as judge and to rule everything.
As a Protestant Church --
- We believe that people are not saved by their own goodness, but by God's grace alone.
- We believe that the unfailing Bible is our rule for faith and for life.
- We practice two sacraments: baptism and the Lord's Supper.
As a Church of the Reformed Faith --
- We believe that Christ is Lord of every corner and area of life.
- We believe that God's Kingdom came into this hurting world in Jesus and that Kingdom will be completed at Christ's return.
- We believe that God establishes a relationship with us called the covenant -- He is our God and we are His people -- and that His promises extend to each new generation.
- We have a Reformed system of governing the church.
- Our local church is governed by a Council of elders and deacons.
- Our local church joins the Christian Reformed Churches in the region in a body called a Classis and with a national body called a Synod.
- We are a member of the Christian Reformed Church in North America denomination.
